Real name John Ventham

Illigitimate son of Charlie King Of West Virginia who were both re-united 7 years ago when John traced his Dad and family through the Internet ..Dad was over here in England as a member of the USAFF during the second world war..He went out with John's mom for over a year and John was born in 1944 .His Dad was wounded and shipped back to the U.S. ..There must be something in the genes as Charlie King (Dad) was a member of the Glenn Miller band as Rythm guitarist and after the death of Glenn  formed a band called the Miller boys .Anyway john was weened on country music and even as a teenager used to visit the local USA army base at chicksands and play and sing for the troops .

In 1961 John joined the British army (Royal Engineers) as a combat Engineer and after training was posted to Germany where he bought Guitars,Drums Amps etc.(From army funds)and formed a group to play in the sergeants and officers mess .The group was re-named as "William and the conquerers" and went to play in the local towns venues .They went on to play the famous Blue bore club in Hamburg and the "Beatles" were booked as their warm up band but Country music was being taken over by the 60's pop scene and the Beatles went on to make a few nickles whereas John's group split up mainly through lack of bookings and the fact that two of the groups members were posted to Hong kong and John was enrolled into the A.C.E.M.L.F  (allied command Europe Mobile Land force) .When John left the Army he took up a "Normal" life had loads of kids (9) and god knows how many grandchildren (Lost count) ..For the last 21 years John has been invoved in the travel Industry as a Tour bus (Coach) driver and owned his own tour company .Now semi retired John is building a new pub, with his wife Debbie , in the coastal town of Margate Kent .The pub will be aptly named "The Madhouse" and will hire live bands/groups and Karaoke..

John still loves to sing and hopes that his songs give pleasure to those that listen..
