Blue collar son of parents who left the coal mines of West Virginia to seek their fortunes in the auto factories of Michigan, Ray followed his country roots and dreams to Nashville, Tennessee.  Since 1991, Tennessee has been home for Ray Giles and he has played in many of the honky tonks and you can find him at many of the song writer venues in and around middle Tennessee.  You may also find him on the sidewalks of Lower Broadway, usually near 4th Avenue, playing accoustically to the many tourists.  "I really love meeting the folks who come to Nashville.  Most don't expect to find profesional artists performing on the street."

His son is his life.  A junior in Franklin High School, CJ one of the shool's ice hockey goalies.  CJ also is a guitarist and vocalist for a Christian Metal band by the name of As His Blood Redeams.  "I am so proud of CJ, I do not force his views, but they understand who there gift is from." 

Ray dedicates his life to his son's graduation.  Writing songs is a gift first then an art.  His soothing delivery is sure to leave a lasting memory.
